Who is affected?

Self-harm and can affect anyone at any age, but it is most common in young people. It is estimated that around 20% of young people are self-harming at any one time.

Overeating in a compulsive way is very common. It is believed that almost 1 in 2 people who seek help for weight loss consider themselves to be compulsive eaters, which would suppose up to about 12 million people in the UK. Although it can happens through all lifetime, it frequently starts in the teenage years.  Follow the links below for further help.
